We offer the highest level of dog and cat care available in New York City, with
incomparable boarding service in 47 loving "host family homes" throughout
Manhattan. Every home is available to be seen by appointment before you make
your decision. Our goal is to provide exemplary home care to our clients and
their animal companions and our performance will very likely exceed your
expectations. Cats and dogs that are very young, very old, frail, or have
rudimentary medical needs will receive personalized and loving care all day and
all night. For those very special circumstances when you must have someone stay
"at the house," we can even arrange for sleepovers.
All of our pet sitters are insured and bonded and we carefully pre-screen every
pet sitter before they are invited to join our network of host family homes.
Done properly, pet sitting requires the utmost in care giving, ethics, attention
to detail, diligence and responsibility. The roster of persons who work for us
is eclectic and includes professionals who do it as much for the love of animals
as for any other reason. Among the ranks of our dedicated staff are nurses,
journalists, teachers, social workers, stay-at-home moms, veterinary
technicians, administrative assistants and graduate students.
Holiday periods for cat and dog boarding are often completely booked weeks before the holiday. Please schedule well in advance. Peters Pets...
Peter's Pets was founded in 1997 by Peter and his daughter Katie after a
lifetime of wonderful experiences with their own dogs and cats. We recently
opened a Los Angeles branch for our friends on the West Coast. Our organization
began very simply, as an effort to meet the needs of friends and neighbors who
couldn't bear the thought of putting their loved one in a kennel. With very
little emphasis on advertising, our reputation has been built slowly and
steadily since 1997 by word of mouth.
Our philosophy and approach are equally simple. As animal lovers, we are
dedicated to their happiness and well-being. We have found that - in both our
own experience and in the lives of our clients - a cat or dog is much more than
just a "pet." He or she becomes, in essence, a member of the family.
Accordingly, it is our express commitment to give your dog or cat the same level
of care, attention, and respect we would give our own. We believe you will find
that services provided by Peter's Pets far surpass those offered by a
traditional kennel.
